The Habbox Site Coders manage Habbox's pre-existing code and work on new projects. The department has had many incarnations over the years, however, most recently returned in late May 2012 to facilitate the loss of HotelUser as the Assistant General Manager (Development). In the past forms of the department was a part of the Content Department and was managed directly by either the Content Manager, Assistant General Manager (Content) or both, depending on the relevant experience of either party. The Site Manager role was originally a dedicated role, but is now part of the General Manager (Site)'s remit.

Site Coders
Habbox has had many site coders over the years. Notable coders (excluding those who progressed to manager or General Management) include dbgtz, Calum0812, :Markster:, Kieran, iAdam, Robbie, Blob, Hypertext and Invent.
History
The department has its origins going back to when the founder and original owner of Habbox, Mizki enlisted the help of current Habbox co-owner, sierk. Sierk helped build the main site in 2004. As technology has evolved and become more complex, Habbox has had to bring in more experienced coders to keep up with changes in technology so to improve the sites features.
Coding staff sporadically come and go and in their wake will leave a whole host of improvements, changes and brand new features behind for everyone to use and enjoy. The coding department is very competitive to get into, and the current coders will have been rigorously tested to ensure sure they're up to the challenge.
Webpage Design Department
The Webpage Design Department was created late 2004 under the reign of 8Freak8. The department was similar to the current Site Coders department. Towards late 2007, the department was renamed and reformed to the current Site Coders Department.

Site Designers
Site Designers main purpose was to create new and innovative designs for the front and back end of the Habbox websites – as well as creating small assets for any scripts that would be made for the website (i.e. generators and alike) whilst they were in their beginning stages. The main focus of these staff members was Habbox.com Version Eight in which they were primarily recruited for.
Other Responsibilities included:
- Aiding the Site Manager and Habbox Site Coders in the creation of Habbox websites and scripts
- Helped imagine up some innovative ideas for the websites (both front end and back end)
- Created small assets upon the request of the Site Manager for scripts that were being created
