Habbox Articles originally began on the 22nd June 2004 when HabboxForum first opened. It started out with one manager and a handful of trialists who made sure the work they did was interesting whilst Habbox was upcoming as a fansite. With Habbox advancing over the years, the department seemed to trail behind and at the beginning of 2008 it was decided by the General Manager, Nvrspk4, the Articles Manager, Professor-Alex and their team of staff to close the Articles Department.
Although the department closed, the staff members mainly went on to other roles, even new ones that were created just for them - Professor-Alex managed to go on to become a Senior Content Designer (Content) who focused on writing on the site, whereas Inseriousity. went on to become the longest reigning Competitions Manager.
After the department had been closed three years, the News Manager at the time Nuxty decided to revive it again, and brought in old writers such as Mrs.McCall and Inseriousity.. However, the departments revival didn't last as long, six months after it reopened it was closed again with most Articles Writers moving over to the News Department side, which were both merged at the time.
The final revival came just after lawrawrrr was given the Assistant General Manager (Content) role and she worked tirelessly to ensure that the news/articles on Habbox was once again worthwhile. She created a new role, a more responsible one than Head News Reporter and named it News Team Leader - something that hadn't been seen since the Habbox Help Desk years prior. After the News Team Leader was ready, the Articles Department was once again revived and took over the News Department - another department that's been there since the beginning of Habbox. Empired was the latest manager within the department although resigned from her role in August 2015. There are various writers within the team that make sure the front page on Habbox's site is full of unique and exciting content. The newest revival also showed another role named 'Proofreader' being created. The department is currently managed by Bolt660 after successfully applying for the role.
The Department has seen it's ups and downs but still strives to be the best content department. Through the loss of both Head Writers, the team works with each other to bring new and exciting things to habboxForum. Things being like trivia, scavenger hunts (coming soon!), and currently working on a calendar where daily postings come up. This department has seen better days but unlike any other department- It is a very strong team even with a small amount of people in it.

Trivia
- Jin is currently the longest serving Articles Manager, with 280 days.
- Maleficum aka Mrs.McCall has been a part of the department in the first and second opening of Habbox Articles.
- Jin has since gone on to become a co-owner of Habbox whereas Drewar was a manager on HabboxForum CA.
Department Now
The Department has seen its ups and down but still strives to be the best content department.
