The Holoboy is a Classical Rare and was one of the first three Rares (and also one of the very first pieces of animated furniture developed by Sulake) to be given out to Habbo users. Originally, it was named the "Holopod" until the Hologirl was later released in the catalogue.

The Holoboy was officially released in the catalogue on every hotel except Habbo Hotel UK - instead it was given out as a gift to celebrate Ione's birthday (along with the Throne and Russian Samovar). It remained an incredibly expensive rare in Habbo Hotel UK before the English hotel merge occurred. The Holoboy achieved notoriety on the British Hotel with the events of the Samovar Crisis which saw its value rocket in a short period of time.

In all other hotels except Habbo.com.br, the Holoboy was made available as a catalogue rare for 25 Credits.

Trivia

• The Holoboy was made available for a variety of different timescales. For example, on Habbo.ch it could only be purchased for one day, whereas on Habbo.com (USA) it was made available for one week.
