The Black Monolith (also known as the "Black Spaceship Door") is a Rare that was uploaded amongst various other V7 Rares. This is a fairly common Rare on Habbo.com due to it being sold on all 5 English-speaking hotels before the English-Speaking hotel merge and the second most common Spaceship Door globally (with the Aqua Spaceship Door being the most common). This was the second Spaceship Door to be released (after the Pink Spaceship Door) and is the only Spaceship Door which is referred to as a "Monolith". Habbo.dk was the only hotel which never witnessed a release of The Black Monolith.

Trivia

• The Black Monolith is the only Monolith/Spaceship Door which actually has "Monolith" in its furniture name. This is expected to be a reference to the film "2001: A space odyssey" in which a black monolith appears numerous amounts of times throughout the film. This explains why the entire collection of Spaceship Doors are usually called Monoliths (or "monos") instead. The Black Monolith is also the only Spaceship Door/Monolith which has "The" in its name.
