The Blue Kimberlite Fountain was released accidently in July 2003 via the Catalogue on the United Kingdom hotel. This is similar to the Granite Fountain that was released at the same time, the same way and on the same hotel. However, differently to the other, this rare was released again in the Catalogue on the Switzerland hotel in November 2003 which made it first officially released there!

The item was used in a worldwide promotion that was called Habborella, it was used in the rooms all over each hotel in 2008; the only other room it was used in was an Italian one called !=! which was created by 'Joby.'

This is the most expensive of the Fountains, this may be due to the lack of them on the hotel due to many not being released due to it being used in staff owned rooms instead.

It was most recently given out as a competition prize in 2010 on the Swedish hotel.

• On January 22nd 2005, the Blue Kimberlite Fountain was released along with a number of other super rares, normal rares and seasonals in a catalogue page called Palsternakka for around five minutes.
