The Ruby Baby Sheep was awarded as part of the Safer Internet Day Poster Competition, which ran from January 24 to February 2, 2025. Participants individually created pixel art posters promoting safer internet practices, combining creativity with advocacy in true Habbo style. The competition encouraged artists to emphasize the importance of online safety while maintaining the classic Habbo aesthetic.
To be eligible, participants had to create their own Safer Internet Day (SID) poster including both a custom-designed SID logo and the official Habbo logo. Posters had to be fully original, with no AI usage allowed. Completed entries were uploaded to a public image hosting site or social media platform and submitted via a poll in the Welcome Lounge. Submissions without proper links were not considered valid.
The winners were announced on February 10, 2025, with prizes awarded as follows:
- All valid entries received an exclusive badge.
- The top 10 entries were each awarded a Ruby Baby Sheep.
- The 1st place winner additionally received a rare Duckmaster.
