Bears were released on Habbo in early December 2009 as part of the Christmas 2009 campaign on day 4 of the Advent Calendar. Players can buy a pet bear at any time via the Catalogue. They are found under the "Pet Shop" section for a price of 20 Credits. Pet food and accessories can also be found in this section. All Bears are able to be trained by their owners and, by doing so, they level up, resulting in the owner completing achievements.

The new release of Baby Pets has also introduced the ability to breed Bears, which, as a result, makes you an owner of a baby.

Available Species

There are currently only 4 different breeds of Bears which are available for you to purchase; all costing the same price and giving the same features just different colours and styles. They are as follows:

• Brown Bear
• Polar Bear
• Great Bear
• Sunny Bear

Accessories

Like other pets, you always receive a starter food pack with each Bear you buy. It is recommended that additional accessories are bought, such as water bowls to prevent thirst and toys to ensure your bear doesn't get bored. Special Nests are also available for purchase, which will provide a relaxed and exciting environment for your Bear.
