Lions were released into the world of Habbo in August, 2010. They currently cost 20 credits and, just like any other pet, Habbos are able to purchase Lions using the Catalogue under the Pet Shop section. Pet food and accessories can also be found in this section. All Lions are able to be trained by their owners and, by doing so, they level up, resulting in the owner completing achievements. A list of achievements can be found on our Pets (Achievements) page. Upon buying a Lion, you are able to choose the species and a name for your pet. However, once the pet has been paid for, you are unable to change these settings.

There are currently 7 different species available for purchase on Habbo, all of which are listed below:

Rare Lion

There are six rarer colours of lion that are only available at certain times. They were available in October 2019 during Witches' Coven

Accessories

When you purchase your Lion it comes with 'Starter Pack' which contains some food that will keep your Lion going for the time being, but it is recommended that more is bought in future. You're encouraged to buy a water bowl, more food and a bed for your Lion so it remains happy and healthy. Toys can also be purchased for your pet, which will ensure that your Lion will never become bored. All accessories range from 1-5 credits and can be found in the Pets and Accessories section of the Pet Shop tab in the catalogue on-client.

Lion Badges

Badge Image	Reason	Short Description
	For buying a Lion within 7 days of its release.	This badge was given in addition to the pet, to users who purchased a rhino before 2th August 2010.
	For buying an Albino Lion	This badge was awarded to users who purchased an Albino Lion in November 2010.
	For buying a Blue Disco Lion	This badge was awarded to users who purchased a Blue Disco Lion in September 2011.
	For buying a Red Lion	This badge was awarded to users who purchased a Red Lion in April 2012.
