The Gold Coin is a Habbo Exchange item which has been around since the Exchange's introduction to Habbo in Winter 2007. This item of furniture holds a solid value of 10 credits within the hotel but if purchasing from the Catalog, it will cost you 11 credits due to a "Sales Tax". In the trading world, the Gold Coin will often be traded with a value between 8 and 10 credits depending on the seller. This item is not sought after by many but in the trading world, it can be more favourable than the Sack of Coins, especially if purchasing a number of items.
Habbo China saw the Gold Coin introduced with a value of 100 credits to accommodate for the exchange rate, whilst every other hotel uses the regular value of 10 credits.
