Real Life
This painting is based on the painting titled The Desperate Man by Gustave Courbet (also known as Le Désespéré). It was an oil painting of a self-portait that was created between 1843 and 1845. In 2007, it was displayed in the Musée d'Orsay's Courbet exhibition, but has since been a part of the Conseil Investissement Art BNP Paribas private collection.
