Real Life
The sculpture is very reminiscent of the old Arthurian legend of The Sword In The Stone and may be a general depiction of this mythical item, however appears more specifically to be based on a sculpture by Welsh blacksmith Gerallt Evans in tribute to the old Princes of Gwynedd, named Llafn y Cewri (Blade of the Giants).
