The Year of the Ox is a celebration of the Chinese New Year for the Ox Zodiac.

The first time Habbo celebrated this was in January 2009. The only furniture back then released was a stone Statue and a poster, which are since their release part of the Asian line.

The second time this was celebrated was in February 2021 alongside the Valentines campaign that year with the release of the Golden Ox Statue and Ox Accessories. Besides these, three other new Chinese New Year items were introduced; Traditional Gong, Basket of Oranges and Fine Oriental Vase.

For current Habbo players their zodiac started in either of these years:

  • 1985 (Your element is Wood)
  • 1997 (Your element is Fire)
  • 2009 (Your element is Earth)

For people who were born in 2021 their element is Metal. The next time this will be celebrated will be in 2033 and their element will be Water.
