The '''Habbox Summer Spectacular''' takes place every summer holiday at [[Habbox]], it runs for two weeks and has four teams participating. Just before the HxSS starts every member of Habbox has a few days to join a team (Red, Blue, Green & Black). These teams are lead by the (Assistant) Department Managers. It's the manager's duty to ensure their team is performing at the best of their abilities to win. Habbox Staff run events, competitions & special HabboxLive shows, if a user wins one of these they win points for themselves and their team. At the end of the two weeks there is an awards ceremony where the team with the most points is announced as the winning team, then the top three in that team win massive prizes such as Thrones and Gold Bars. Other events are done at Habbox that are also seasonal, the [[Easter Eggstravaganza]] is an example of this! An overview of the winners and prizes for the past years are given below:

However, each year, other departments are given the opportunity to run competitions as well, including the Forum and Graphics departments. [[Habbox Help Desk|Help Desk]] staff usually host events in the Help Desk to fill in slots as well - although usually all members of [[Habbox Staff]] are given permission to host events.
 
Each competition, no matter which department it is held by, comes with a prize of (usually Forum VIP, [[Credits]] or Reputation Points) and points.
 
The points are added to each player's total, and their team. The team with the overall highest amount of points is declared as the winner of HxSS, whereas the player with the most points is declared as the overall winner.

The Habbox Summer Spectacular (referred to commonly as HxSS) is a Habbox event which occurs every summer. It runs for 2 weeks, usually at the end of August and takes the form of a tournament between four teams.

Each of the four teams has a colour and a mascot - Green (Snakes), Red (Parrots), Black (Monkeys) and Blue (Hippos). A few days before the Summer Spectacular begins, members can join a team by applying to join the group on HabboxForum.
