The September 2020 Glitches was a major bug that occured on Monday, 28th September 2020 on Habbo.com, Habbo.nl and Habbo.fi. Players on these hotels who had Group admin rights could pick up other player's items which would be moved into their own inventory instead of the furniture owner's inventory. Some people reported hundreds of coins in furniture missing.

Eventually Habbo went for a maintenance break to fix the 'critical bug', and after coming back online trading and the Marketplace were disabled for over four hours.

After the maintenance break more glitches were reported possibly due to the server rollback. The new issues involved Habbo Club where achievements were reset to level 1, saved outfits in wardrobes were reported to be empty and some users reported that they were not able to redeem Habbo Club boxes.

The biggest room reported to be affected was the Trade Auction [RG]© owned by the user Window.

It is reported that after activating the tradelock, which was to stop Habbos trading items that they did not own, Habbo reversed some of the trades that had happened that day.

Cause

Not long after Habbo disabled trading and the Marketplace rumours begin to spread. It is to believed the cause was that an update to the Sandbox Hotel was accidently slipped into the real servers. User Pulx already reported seeing the same bugs on the Sandbox Hotel as what happened on this day.

Aftermath

Two new updates to client features became live on the hotel ahead of their planned release because of this update, but were not communicated by Habbo since they had not been planned to go live. Users later found that profiles on the hotel would not appear if a user had chosen the option to hide them in their settings, while previously only their site profile would be hidden. Habbo explained that this update was actually a fix since this should have been the case all along. Later in October 2020 Habbos found that the Floor Plan Editor had been updated and users no longer kept their customised room layouts once their Builders Club subscription had run out. This was controversial especially since it had not been announced and many were upset as because they had updated their floor plans recently their rooms would now be locked without warning. [1]
